Privacy Policy
Pollifye is a survey platform: researchers create surveys, and respondents answer them — through a chat conversation or a classic form. This policy explains what we collect from each of them, why, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it the way we would want to read it: plainly.
What we collect
If you create surveys with us — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a salted hash), or your Google account's name, email, and profile picture if you sign in with Google. We never see your Google password.
If you answer a survey — the answers you choose to give, the messages you type in a survey conversation, and basic technical information (approximate time, session identifiers) needed to save your progress and prevent abuse. Surveys tell you at the start who is asking and why. You can stop at any question.
If you claim a reward — the payment identifier you provide (such as a UPI ID) is recorded so the reward can be paid out. Pollifye itself never holds your money; payouts run through licensed payment providers.
How we use it
Survey answers belong to the research they were collected for. The researcher who created the survey sees responses to their own surveys, in aggregate and individually. We use your data to run the platform: authentication, saving responses, computing results, paying rewards, and preventing fraud. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use respondent answers to advertise to you.
Parts of the product use AI (for example, the conversational interviewer and the survey design copilot). Messages you send in a survey conversation are processed by our AI provider to generate the next question. They are treated as answers, never as instructions, and are not used by us to train AI models.
Where it lives and how long
Data is stored with our hosting providers (currently Vercel and Neon, in Singapore and Mumbai regions) over encrypted connections. Responses are kept for as long as the research needs them; account data is kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, data tied to it is deleted, except records we must keep for fraud prevention or by law.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. If you are in India, these rights are backed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Write to us at sumeet@outnorm.com and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell account holders by email.
